Thermoforming is a manufacturing process in which a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape using a mold, and trimmed to create a finished product. The process is commonly used to make items such as plastic cups, containers, lids, trays, and blister packaging.
The raw material used in thermoforming is usually a plastic sheet or roll stock. The process is suitable for producing large quantities of the same part, and it is capable of producing parts with good detail and precision. There are several different types of thermoforming, including vacuum forming, pressure forming, and twin sheet forming.
The application of super-strength steel plate material is one of the effective ways to realize the light weight of the whole vehicle and improve the structural strength. However, in the traditional cold stamping process, the forming of high-strength steel is difficult and the spring back is serious, which makes the manufacturing and debugging of tooling very difficult. The emergence of thermoforming technology perfectly solves the above two problems.

Destacking Station
It consists of a general pallet, a feeding trolley, a magnetic splitting system, and a depalletizing robot. Use a forklift to place the material stack on the general-purpose pallet, and the loading trolley moves the material stack with the pallet to the working position. The depalletizing robot receives the signal and picks up the magnetically separated sheets to the coding area. After double-material inspection, the unqualified ones are put into the waste box. If it is qualified, it will be coded and the sheet will be moved to the servo-centering platform before entering the furnace.
Servo Centering Platform
The unstacking manipulator places the sheet on the servo-centering platform, and the centering platform lifts the sheet, and the sheet is slapped and centered by the slapping mechanism.
Plate Loading and Unloading Furnace Manipulator
The plate on the servo-centering platform is grasped, and when the multi-layer box furnace door is opened, the plate is sent to the set position of the heating furnace. After the sheet is heated and kept at the set temperature in the heating furnace, the furnace door is opened, and the manipulator out of the furnace sends the sheet to the feeding manipulator of the press.
Heating Furnace
It is used for heating and heat preservation of high-strength steel-coated plates and uncoated bare plates so that they can reach the expected mold entry temperature.
The temperature of the 6-layer furnace can be controlled independently, or continuously controlled in any combination, so as to realize mold debugging, single-piece production, prototype test, small batch production, and mass production of parts for vehicle production, and realize thermal Energy-saving and flexible production of formed load-bearing parts.
Loading and Unloading Manipulator
The loading and unloading manipulator is installed on both sides of the press and is responsible for transporting the sheet of the centering platform into the mold and putting the stamped parts on the conveyor belt at the end of the line.
